For APO33, locally sourced earths will be peeled, stacked and brought back to the APO33 centre for basic signal processing, before the attempt is made to construct earth playback machines, re-earthing the earth, in a dystopic splay and display exhibit.
Jonathan Kemp has a long history of elaborating situational events as active makings-of-the-world. Solo and collaborative work includes open laboratories, material processing performances, environmental installations, experimental communicative systems, and social software events.
