“Audio Chandelier: Passeri” is a new multi-channel interactive/generative sound/video work, created by Dafna Naphtali, from recordings of birdsong, her voice, locally collected/recorded bird songs, and data on changing flight patterns, habitat and bird songs due to environmental changes. Audio will be paired with 4 video channels to visualize sound distribution, bird migration patterns, bird songs and sounds. The installation will include interactive elements for viewers/listeners.

Performer and composer of experimental, contemporary classical and improvised music since the mid-90s, she creates custom computer programs for processing the sound of voice and other instruments, music for robots, multi-channel sound projects “Audio Chandelier” and augmented reality sound walks “Walkie Talkie Dreams” in New York and Germany.

TOOLKIT OF CARE is an international Action led by an interdisciplinary group of creative practitioners, academics, researchers and arts organisations that specialise in creative technologies and that have considerable experience in the production and dissemination of this kind of knowledge across Europe and internationally, who have come together to form a “critical network of care”. The network will collaborate to share their collective expertise and technical knowledge employed in creative ways to develop knowledge and methodologies of care. The main aim is to produce a well formulated and integrated TOOLKIT OF CARE comprising articles, prototypes, audiovisual documentation, technical manuals, theoretical analysis, prototypes, and data. It will act as a model of how to successfully share knowledge and expertise across different geographical regions and social groups.

This short-term scientific mission is based on the work of COST Action Toolkit of Care (TOC), CA21102, supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). https://cost.eu/
