“Chaotic Boundary Conditions : DIGITAL ANTIDOTE”
For the first edition of Nantes Electronic Art Encounter [NEAR], APO33 proposes to explore the notion of digital boundary condition as antidote to chaos. For two days, artists from from among the Electronic Arts (contemporary, digital …) will meet to produce a series of performances and installations in situ by the hijacking of the digital. How do artists are reclaiming topics related to the field of digital technology, the connected cities, networked objects and of everything digital. What is this madness that inhabits modern society to the extent of pushing for a totalitarian digitisation of the world? What is the antidote to this folly? Beyond the arrival of the Age of Men (Anthropocene), what does the artist have to say himself / herself on these subjects that does not repeat the copy-paste of digital factories (in a pre-becoming)? What are our uses of electronics and digital technology , what is the alternative to an all-connected and of everything digital epoch?
Rencontre – manifesto : this event is part thought of as a Fluxus updated to our current situation, art acts as a safety valve faced with a digital diktat, exchanges for discussing on this topic which goes to the heart of contemporary living problematics and of understanding current changes.

The Nantes Electronic Art Rencontre [NEAR] is a new style of electronic artistic research, public presentation and open workshop. For two days a dozen artists, theorists, scientists and geeks are invited to collaborate on exploring more intermediate spaces between digital art and electronics, network issues and creative inventions of new technical devices, immersive and interconnected.
