Based on the rhythmic constructs developed by Z’EV in his book RhythmMagik, Automated Drummer proposes an AI that continuously plays percussion in an evolving manner throughout the month. The continuous film that unfolds during the sound installation is inspired by the slowed down and erased films that Z’EV has been working on for years.
Automated Drummer is an artist belonging to the protean spectrum of collective energy without bodily presence. He takes shape in soft machine-spaces based on flow exchange and chaos randomization.
