Since her move to Berlin in 2015, she has been investing in analog sound and working with handmade instruments, sound recordings, loops, feedback, and electromagnetic signals which she processes using a modular synthesizer to sculpt cinematic compositions through the deconstruction of textures and noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seamus O\u2019Donnell<\/strong> works can include radio frequency experiments, manipulated field recordings, self made devices, amplified objects and magnetic fields, no-input mixer as well as other more traditional instruments and voice. Improvisation is probably the most important factor.<br>As an organiser O\u2019Donnell works with the registered association, Salon Bruit e.V., a platform for experimental music and with ColaBoraDio, a part of the Freien Radios Berlin Brandenburg, as presenter and programmer on the local frequency 88.4FM.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns post\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=2363032191\/size=large\/bgcol=333333\/linkcol=0f91ff\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kasperttoeplitz.bandcamp.com\/album\/elephant-cat\">ELEPHANT &amp; CAT by Kasper T. Toeplitz<\/strong> (bass, laptop &#8211; Paris)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has worked with academic research organizations, such as GMEM, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Groupe_de_recherches_musicales\">GRM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IRCAM\">IRCAM<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Radio-France&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\">Radio-France<\/a>, as well as with experimental musicians, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C3%89liane_Radigue\">\u00c9liane Radigue<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zbigniew_Karkowski\">Zbigniew Karkowski<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dror_Feiler\">Dror Feiler<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Tetsuo_Furudate&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\">Tetsuo Furudate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phill_Niblock\">Phill Niblock<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Art_Zoyd\">Art Zoyd<\/a> . Citing <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Giacinto_Scelsi\">Giacinto Scelsi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iannis_Xenakis\">Iannis Xenakis<\/a> as influences, his early work was mostly written for traditional instruments. He received several prizes and distinctions for these works: 1st prize in composition for orchestra at the festival of Besan\u00e7on, 1st prize in the <em>Op\u00e9ra Autrement\/Acanthes<\/em> competition, Villa M\u00e9dicis Hors-les-Murs in New York, prize L\u00e9onard de Vinci in San Francisco, Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, and DAAD in Berlin. He has also written for his electric guitar orchestra, Sleaze Art.
