Notoy in residence “beta-test”<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Maillard aka Notoy, will be in residence at the Plateforme Interm\u00e9dia from 16th December to 5th January. He will finish mixing and the spatializing his concert, and fine-tune his light creation.
\nThe audience is immersed in a sound environment thanks to a spatialized broadcasting system, composed of 8 speakers. Spatialization gives the sound image scope, it allows to create a 360\u00b0 environment with depth : a bit like switching from screen to virtual reality. For this the mixing relies on the acoustics of the place and integrates it with the music.
\nWhile his residence, David will finalize the spatialization in 8 channels, and prepare a live session that will allow him to adapt to any type of place and any type of acoustics.
\nDavid has already been hosted a week in residence at the APO33 workshop, to experiment with transducers\/exciters, a kind of membrane-free speakers, allowing “to send” sound “in” objects, which will emit this sound. David will deepen this work during his residency at the platforme intermedia.<\/p>\n

Notoy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to its 360\u00b0 spatialized device, Notoy plunges the audience into a wide and enveloping sound bath (a bit like at Geode). His music is a sculpture of concrete sounds that come together to form an electro with variable physiognomy, where rhythm holds the top of the pavement. Between down-tempo, jungle and ambient, Notoy shapes a powerful land-based landscape, dotted with minimalist melodies. The organic sounds recorded, crushed and rearranged with a sense of manic detail, give life to a new matter as consistent as unexpected.<\/p>\n
